Well, I managed to stay awake until around 11am (which was hour 22, I think) then made the fatel mistake of lying down to read lol.
Page count of reading might not be a hundred percent exact as I was listening to the audio of Deathly Hallows for a while so I had to work it out from the book. I also read a couple of comic books but haven't included them in the page count because I'd have to actually count them.
Title of book(s) read since last update: Deathly Hallows (part), Living Dead in Dallas (complete), Wee Free Men (part), Rising Son (complete), some comic books
Number of books read since you started: 4 full and some parts

Running total of pages read since you started: 1751
Amount of time spent reading since last update: 9 hours
Running total of time spent reading since you started: (keep track of this one to be eligible for a prize!) 19 hours
Hope everyone who took part in whatever way had a fun readathon and thanks to those who stopped by. Later I'm going to check out the blogs of all those who visited mine during the 24 hours but right now I'm going to give my eyes a break from reading!

Readathon Hour 14
It's 2-30am here in the UK and I'm in need of caffiene lol
Up dates may be limited for the next stint as I'm thinking of turning the laptop off for a while to prevent me checking Facebook/Twitter etc as my attention span worsens hehe. I'll see how it goes. If I do I at least plan to update at the end of the readathon before I fall asleep (no promises though lol)

Readathon Hour 10
Well, it turns out graphic novels aren't actually quicker to read but they're certainly easier to concentrate on when there's other stuff going on around you. Plus it's got me back into the swing and now it's a bit quieter here I should be getting my read on properly for the next few hours.
Thanks for all the people who've stopped with encouraging comments. I've replied to some and will get to those I haven't after the readathon is over, I don't want to distract myself more than I've already been lol. I've also not done any of the mini-challenges in the past few hours for the same reason. As the night goes on I'll probably get into them more (as I'll be needing more breaks!)
Title of book(s) read since last update: Specials, NYX: No Way Home
Number of books read since you started: 1 full, 1 half and 1 quarter lol
Pages read since last update: 184 (NYX) + 42 (Specials) = 226
Running total of pages read since you started: 453
Amount of time spent reading since last update: 3 hours
Running total of time spent reading since you started: 6 hours
Mini-challenges completed: none since last update
Other participants you’ve visited (since last update): Laura, Darcie, Claire, Alanna, Kristen, Ruby

Readathon Hour 4 and 5

Ok, so I've not actually done a lot of reading since the last update due to random invaders (ie people calling round the house). I have a feeling that my number of books/pages read will be much more impressive later on when there's less distractions.
Oh also, I'm not updating on Twitter as I get way too distracted by it lol ... but I'd love to get tweets of support @trillian711 (I'll check them on breaks)
Title of book(s) read since last update: Specials
Number of books read since you started: two quarters

I also have tea and I did have chocolate brownies but umm, I ate them before I thought to take a pic lol
For comfort I have two big squishy cushions on the sofa. I have a blanket to hand as well but it's kinda warm and sunny (well for April) so I don't need it just yet.

Readathon Hour 1
The Readathon has started! Firstly I'm going to finish the last 50 pages or so of Succubus Blues
and then I'm moving on to Specials
. From then on I'm making it up as I go along!
There's a good chance I shall nap during the 24 hours as I didn't get a great nights sleep :( but I shall do my best to keep it to a minimum hehe.
I shall visit other readathon blogs and update here when I feel the need to take a break. All comments will be most appreciated to keep me going!
Hour 1 Meme
Where are you reading from today? Nottingham, England
3 facts about me … I have an unhealthy obssession with Supernatural, I have a hamster and I'm a science geek
How many books do you have in your TBR pile for the next 24 hours? I've got 3 definites and a whole shelf of possibles as well as some graphic novels/comic books and ebooks.
Do you have any goals for the read-a-thon (i.e. number of books, number of pages, number of hours, or number of comments on blogs)? I'm aiming for around 4 or 5 books to be completed but will probably end up with lots of part read ones
If you’re a veteran read-a-thoner, Any advice for people doing this for the first time? I'm a newbie read-a-thoner but I guess I'd advise people to HAVE FUN!!!

Pre-Readathon Ramble
See that button at the top of my side bar? Yes, that one there. It's for the 24 hour Readathon which happens tomorrow. It starts tomorrow April 10th at 5am Pacific so for me its 1pm (GMT) although I'm not sure how the daylight saving thing affects things but I'm going with that as it seems a good enough time to start. It means I can sleep in late and then spend a little time completing preparations before actually starting the readathon.
I'm keeping my plan very loose as I know if I have a set number of books to read I'll not want to read those particular ones. Here's my list of likely reads though:
I've been saving thsi one back because I know from the previous books in the series that I'll happily read it straight through which should take a reasonable chunk off the 24 hours.
Being able to imagine Jason and Eric is pretty sure to keep my attention!
The House of Night books are pretty easy to read and shouldn't take a lot of getting into as it's part way through the series.
Hopefully this should arrive in the post tomorrow as it was dispatched yesterday so I can get me some off-screen Dean!
This should also be in the mail and will hopefully be something to dip in and out of.
I also have some graphic novels and comic books for when my attention is bad (well, worse than usual lol)
So, I'm not a hugely fast reader so I doubt I'll even get through the above (heck, I might not even stick to this list) but I do have a good stash of others to hand in case I do or if I just don't feel like any of them. I'm pretty sure I'm going to end up with like three or four part read books after the 24 hours.
As for other important readathon stuff. I have coffee, Red Bull, chocolate and other yummy food. I plan to stay awake for the 24 hours but can't guarantee I won't have a little nap hehe. I will still have to cook, make drinks etc but that's no biggy as I tend to have a book in the kitchen when I'm doing these things anyway! Updating will most likely take place as and when I feel like it.
Hope everyone taking part has a fab 24 hours!
