In My Mailbox (5)

In My Mailbox is a weekly event exploring the books received this week and is hosted by Kristi @ The Story Siren. All excerpts from Goodreads unless stated.

Bought (on another Charity shop hunt!)
Red Dwarf - Grant Naylor
A novel based on BBC2's cult comedy series written by the writers of the "Spitting Image Book". Its humour features the epic adventures of a huge clapped-out old space ship with an equally clapped-out crew.
A wild and wacky SF series--based on the popular BBC-TV series--reminiscent of The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. Lister--who passed out drunk in London and awakened in a locker on a moon of Saturn--now finds himself trapped in a computer game that transports players to the perfect world of their imaginations--a game people are literally dying to play.

In consequence of a number of stunning catastrophes, Arthur Dent is surprised to find himself living in a hideously miserable cave on prehistoric Earth. And then, just as he thinks that things cannot possibly get any worse, they suddenly do.

So glad I finally found this one. I had the other four of the Hitchhiker's series all bought second-hand and somehow it felt wrong buying a brand spanking new version of this. Idk why but sci-fi books always look better a bit battered and worn, lol. Also, why can I never remember if Hitchhiker's has an apostrophe or not?!?

For Review

The Sky is Everywhere - Jandy Nelson (ARC)
Seventeen-year-old Lennie Walker, bookworm and band geek, plays second clarinet and spends her time tucked safely and happily in the shadow of her fiery older sister, Bailey. But when Bailey dies abruptly, Lennie is catapulted to center stage of her own life—and, despite her nonexistent history with boys, suddenly finds herself struggling to balance two. Toby was Bailey’s boyfriend; his grief mirrors Lennie’s own. Joe is the new boy in town, a transplant from Paris whose nearly magical grin is matched only by his musical talent. For Lennie, they’re the sun and the moon; one boy takes her out of her sorrow, the other comforts her in it. But just like their celestial counterparts, they can’t collide without the whole wide world exploding.
